Welcome to the Poor Boys Outdoors blog. This is my first post of what I hope to be regular updates to our hunting, videoing and scouting efforts. I have tried to blog a little before and never seem to stick with it, so we will see how it goes. This time I have carved out a specific time for frequent posts. So take a minute to subscribe to our posts and check back often and follow along with our group of average Christian outdoorsmen (and women) as we spend time in God's creation pursuing the sport that we love so much! Now, on to the hunting stuff...

This year is looking to be the best year ever when it comes to hunting and the Poor Boys Outdoors crew. That's because, just three months into the year,We've already shot more 3D archery shoots, done more post-season scouting and more planning for the spring and fall than ever before. The work has already paid off, as my son harvested his first turkey back on April 5th (see the video below). The full turkey season opens this Saturday, and I hope my hopes are high for lots of good video footage from the Poor Boys Prostaff and that my wife will harvest her first game animal - a big ol' longbeard. We'll see how that goes.
