Above is a draft of our new Poor Boys Outdoors logo. I designed this myself, and I am certainly no graphic artist, so we would like some feedback. Any and all comments/suggestions are welcomed - good OR bad!
Well I tink it fits in with a younger generation. Listen to me... I'm almost 50 and I'm starting to see things generationally. I think it's modern and in tune with the times.
Looks pretty good, especially as the banner on your page. However, I would experiment with some different colors in the background, but not get carried away. You are getting your message across, but you need to look for ways to create a more professional feel. It would not take much to bump up the appeal of your logo. I suggest looking at logos of other brands and pulling in some of their ideas, but once again don't get carried away. I build a lot of graphics for online training classes and I know that this is really important for your success. Marketing is everything for business success and your logo is your face to the world so it should really pop.
Thanks! That is exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for. I know exactly what you mean about the importance of a quality logo, and that is why we have been continually experimenting with different fonts, colors, etc., but I will be the first to admit that I am certainly no graphic artist. If you have any specific ideas for colors, etc., I would love to hear them.

I like it- Red/black/white always make a good color scheme.
